Teresha's Comments When I stepped off the plane I was immediately planted on the beach! It was wonderful and beautiful! The warmest group of people immediately greeted me. I was introduced to the Community, and they were very kind and very willing to know all about us. They wanted to know names, and where did I come from, but most of all they wanted to know if I had 10 fingers and 10 toes just like them! On our 4th day there we went to see how they catch all the crabs we can eat. We first find the wettest swamp area. Then we look for the biggest holes. Then we stick our arm all the way up to the shoulder in mud (and hope that the crab doesn’t clamp down on a finger), we pulled out the crab! After getting all muddy, we swam in a nearby “watering whole” to rinse off. We then went back to the house and cooked our catch. Leaving was the worst part. The kids are so fun and you find yourself automatically drawn to them. It is hard not to get attached! But we said our good-byes and now I am back home, still dreaming of Brazil Teresha George, Dallas TX |
